The Foundation operates for the direct and indirect benefit of the veterans of FL, the FDVA, and FL Veteran Service Organizations. The FVF is a nonprofit organization operating for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c) (3). FVF serves all Veterans from all eras.  Our programs include, but not limited to the following:


Veterans in Need

Referring incoming veteran requests and connecting them with trusted local resources, helping them to streamline their need for assistance.  Handling about 800-1,000 calls/emails per month.


North Florida Panhandle Project = 17+ Counties

Ongoing long-term care VA benefits seminars in Leon County and surrounding areas are helping our aging veterans & dependents with already earned benefits which eases the burdens on their families, enhances their quality of life and impacts each local community with in-coming federal dollars in benefits.


Suicide Prevention, Opioid, Mental Health Services

Targeted statewide campaign that connects the pilot veteran population to service providers at all levels and by issues such as Suicide Prevention, Opioid Abuse, PTSD, and Mental Health Treatment, which includes the specially designed GetHelpNow24 application where a veterans talks with another veteran.

Aging Veterans Benefits   

We are currently helping this demographic which desperately seeks the benefit of Aid and Attendance, Pension, and Disability Claims.  We have partnered with claims experts to provide that ten-step claim filing process at no cost to the veteran or their survivor, helping them already earned long-term care benefits in their final years which enhances their quality of life and eases the burdens on their families.

Veterans’ Fraud & Financial Literacy 

Targeted Veterans’ outreach and education campaign of earned benefits availability and registration to gain financial resources to include Fraud Prevention and Protection.

Educational Videos

Targeted statewide campaign for outreach and education about little known VA benefits available to all veterans and their families and to help Assisted Living Facilities with education of veterans in their communities.

Homeless Veterans Stand Down Best Practices

 FVF is in development of best practices of Homeless and At-Risk Veteran Stand Downs. The best practices will provide the functional models throughout the state to serve struggling Veterans in the most effective and efficient way, capitalizing on the most successful counties in the state.  

Mission of Mercy

Teamed with Florida Dental Association and Mission of Mercy in a “Veterans First” event to provide dental services to over 166 Veterans, giving $1,100 worth of services to each Veteran. In all $182,000 worth of services were provided to Veterans first under the services and guidance of 1,800 Dental professionals.

Veterans Transportation

Collaborated with Disabled American Veterans (DAV) to work with Transportation Disadvantaged transport veterans to medical appointments. Effort resulted in volunteers 4,127 to medical and other appointments for a total of 120,977 miles. Additionally, FVF distributed $65K to DAV for this next fiscal year to transport Veterans.


Veteran Treatment Court Statewide Leadership and Standards

FVF is creating a statewide committee to serve Florida Veterans with consistent standards and structure throughout the state. The statewide committee will provide “best practices” and an infrastructure of proven Veteran Treatment Court operations in Florida and coordinating it with FDVA.
