Third Annual Tarrant County Guns and Hoses

“Remember the Fallen” Golf Tournament

September 30, 2019 | Walnut Creek Country Club

Walnut Creek Golf Club

If you have never played in a Gun and Hoses golf tournament, you will not want to miss out! If you played last year, you know this tournament is too hot too handle!  Someone call 911!

2019 Golf Save the Date

It is with great honor that the Grand Prairie Police Department and the “Sgt. Gregory L. Hunter 12th Annual “Remember the Fallen” Memorial Golf Tournament” present our continued partnership with the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas, as we host the 3rd Annual Tarrant County Guns and Hoses “Remember the Fallen” golf tournament tournament.

This partnership effort brings awareness to Tarrant County for the Guns and Hoses Foundation, while also continuing our tradition of honoring the remembrance, service and sacrifice of Grand Prairie Police Sergeant Gregory L. Hunter, 30-year veteran, who was tragically ambushed and murdered by an armed fugitive at the Grand Prairie Walmart on June 18, 2004, Officer Lyndon F. King, who was struck and killed by a drunk driver while working an accident scene on I-30 near the 7th Street overpass on March 1, 1982, and Officer Albert J. Castañeda, who was struck and killed by a 17 year-old driver while working traffic enforcement on the George W. Bush Turnpike on June 7, 2019.  We salute and honor all officers and firefighters across our nation who have made the supreme sacrifice.

The GUNS AND HOSES FOUNDATION OF NORTH TEXAS IS A 501(C)3 ORGANIZATION FOUNDED IN 2002, DEDICATED TO ASSISTING THE FAMILIES OF FALLEN FIRST RESPONDERS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE LINE OF DUTY. SINCE OUR INCEPTION IN 2002, THE FOUNDATION HAS ASSISTED 59 FAMILIES WITH FINANCIAL SUPPORT. GUNS AND HOSES ALSO CONTRIBUTES TO CHILDREN'S CHARITIES SUPPORTED BY LOCAL POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS.

The Sgt. Gregory L. Hunter Memorial Fund provides (2) $1000 scholarships each year, as well as supports areas of need at the Grand Prairie Police Department, community and other related law enforcement endeavors.
